Semi-Automatic Bridge Crimping Machine The STK 2700 is the 3rd generation of bridge crimping machines manufactured by Curti. This machine is able to crimp pre-assembled plug inserts onto the ends of insulated conductors. Once the operator has loaded the unjacketed cable section onto the machine's clamp, it will cycle through the following process : Conductor stripping Verify that conductors are stripped Crimp bridge or terminal to conductors Check for proper ground location or proper polarization The electro-mechanical crimping press may be outfitted with an optional crimp force monitor. The unit may also be outfitted to attach single terminals as well as pre-assembled plugs (bridges)

Cordset Testing and Terminating Line This cable processing line allows for the automatic testing of pre-molded cordsets, as well as the final termination of the second side of the cordset with the desired conductor striping and terminal crimping.

Testing - Wire Stripping - Terminal Application

• Operator inserts molded plug side of cordset into conveyor’s plug holder
• Operator inserts un-stripped conductors conveyor’s cable holding jig
• Line executes desired strip lengths on individual conductors
• Terminals are crimped onto conductors
• Continuity/Polarization Test is executed
• Insulation resistance Control is performed
• Skin Test on molded plug is performed
• Fully tested and terminated cordset is off-loaded automatically
• Output of 850 tested & terminated cordsets per hour

This is the line that has had extreme success for over a decade, and is a great way to automate the testing, conductor stripping, and second end termination processes at a low investment cost.

Automatic Cordset Production Lines The cable processing machinery is composed of individual processing stations which can be tailored to each manufacturing process' needs. Curti prides itself on being able to come up with ingenious methods of attaining a fully autonomous production line, which is able to maintain all required safety and quality checks. All processing lines manufactured by Curti stem from the same basic standard, but all individual lines are always customized for each customer.
